We here at The B&J Podcast have taken a leap in the 2010s. For the first time Brendan and Jimmy were separated by 30 miles while recording this podcast via Google Hangout. It’s surprising it’s taken 18 podcasts, but finally they’ve broken. They just can’t stand the sight of one another anymore.

Ep. 17 – Comedy of Errors

Despite the title of this podcast, this is the best episode yet! Da bomb as the kids would say about 20 years ago when we were kids. We talk about:

It was a shitty week with the events in Ferguson, MO, Robin Williams, Lauren Bacall and everything else. We really tried to steer clear of fanning the flames of fury.

The music we played “Worlock” by Skinny Puppy and “Bela Legosi’s Dead” by Bauhaus with a brief interlude of Tosca’s “Suzuki”.

Ep. 16 – Dick Taps and Diarrhea

Apologies for no podcast last week. Jimmy had familial moving obligations, and Brendan had nerdy obligations. We were thinking about Skyping a podcast in the middle of the week, but poor Brendan got sicky wicky. So here we are

B&J Podcast Ep. 15 – The Fuck the NFL, ESPN and Hemorrhoids Episode

There are a lot of fuck ups in this episode. For one, I refer to this as our 14th episode in the opening. Oops. Then later on we talk about the MLB All Star Game that ended in a tie. I mistakenly referred to it as having occurred in 2003 at PNC Park in Pittsburgh ending in the 14th inning. It actually happened in 2002 at Miller Park in Milwaukee and ended in the 11th inning. Sorry.

The podcast opened with Bikini Kill’s “Rebel Girl” and ends with Fifth Column’s “All Women Are Bitches”. We talked about:

* The NFL’s laughable punishment to Ray Rice for knocking out his fiance-cum-wife earlier this year.
* ESPN, and more specifically Stephen A. Smith’s, victim blaming.
* WEEI and their misogynist remarks about Erin Andrews.

B&J Podcast Ep. 14 – The Sober Podcast

Both Brendan and I decided to experiment with this podcast: for the first time we did this sober. He was doing it out of sheer laziness. I was doing it because I was feeling a little something in my sinus that could portend to an illness or something like that. Nevertheless onward we trucked.

This podcast marks the return of sound effects!!! I apologize that they tend to drown out some the words we say, but most of our words are rubbish anyway. I will make sure to fix that in the next podcast.

B&J Podcast Ep. 10 – Rick Perry, Are You Queer?

First off, a shoutout to Hank and Petra from the Hillbilly Nerd Talk podcast. They sent along nice words about our little outfit we’ve got going on here, and they have an entertaining podcast as well. Hell, if anyone from Appalachia can stomach our filthy talk, then they’re worth listening to.

Of course, this is our first show on the weekly format. As you might notice, we did get this podcast way under one hour which was one of our goals. In this episode we talk about:

* The Kings winning the Stanley Cup.
* Sports stupid superstitions.
* Republican and voter idiocy.
* Stoning gays or stoned gays?
* More fisting talk.

B&J Podcast Ep. 9 – Failure

A couple of changes to the B&J Podcast. Firstly, as you will notice in this episode, there are no more musical breaks. Just a song at the beginning, a song to close and that’s it. Secondly, this podcast will become a weekly podcast. We’re trying to get this to a more manageable length, so if the podcast is more frequent then maybe it will help? Don’t worry. We have our doubts about this, too.
